Megan Haught – May 2019
Please join UCF Human Resources in congratulating the newest USPS Employee of the Month (EOM) for May 2019: Megan Haught. Megan is the Administrative Assistant in the Research & Information Services Department of the John Hitt Library. She has worked at the University since September 2012. Her nominators had this to say about her:
“Megan is dependable, hardworking, honest and always goes the extra mile for UCF Libraries and her department. She excels at ‘taking ownership’ of complex, multi-step projects. Megan created an outstanding award submission for UCF Libraries bid to win the prestigious Assoc. of College of Research Libraries (ACRL) 2019 Excellence in Academic Libraries Award to be announced in 2019. The ACRL Award instructs the applicant to demonstrate how the library works to support its institution’s mission and goals.
Over the years, and in whatever position she is employed, Megan is a true ‘champion’ of diversity and inclusion, supporting the work of UCF’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion with enthusiasm, creativity and energy. She has a deep understanding of what it means to be respectful and inclusive, and she models this perspective daily.”
As USPS Employee of the Month, Megan receives a $200 cash award, $25 from UCF Business Services and UCF Bookstore, her name in lights on the UCF campus marquee, and an introduction to the Board of Trustees. She is now eligible for the USPS Employee of the Year $2,500 award, announced at the UCF Annual Awards Program.
