E-Verify

UCF is an E-Verify employer. All hires are processed through E-Verify. Per the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) executive order, existing employees paid from a federal contract will also be processed through E-Verify. It’s unlawful to use E-Verify as a screening tool prior to an offer of employment.

E-Verify is an Internet based system operated by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in partnership with the Social Security Administration (SSA) that allows participating employers to electronically verify the employment eligibility of their employees. E-Verify checks the information provided on an employee’s Form I-9 electronically against records contained in DHS and SSA’s databases.
