Jon Bowen – February 2019
Please join UCF Human Resources in congratulating the newest USPS Employee of the Month (EOM) for February 2019: Jon Bowen. A UCF employee since 2011, Jon is a Senior Broadcast Technologist in the Department of Film and Mass Media in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media. His nominators Dr. Boyd Lindsey and Mr. Jason Burrell had this to say about him:
“Jon is a rare combination to find in a staff member. His professional experience in the field of film, his education and training, coupled with his technical skills make him a great asset for the school. Not only does he oversee the distribution of thousands and thousands of dollars in film equipment to students, he writes and wins Tech Fee Grants ($1.5 million over the past 10 years). He insists on the highest technical and professional standards our equipment and students can deliver.”
As USPS Employee of the Month, Jon received a $200 cash award, $25 from UCF Business Services and UCF Bookstore, and his name in lights on the UCF campus marquee. He is now eligible for the USPS Employee of the Year $2,500 award, announced at the UCF Annual Awards Program.
