Electronic I-9 Forms

The Electronic I-9 Form was implemented on November 23, 2012 to streamline the I-9 Form process. Paper I-9 Forms will no longer be accepted after November 22nd 2012. The I-9 Form is a federal form maintained and enforced by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). All employees (citizens and noncitizens) hired after November 6th 1986 must complete the I-9 Form.

Employees must complete Section 1 of the I-9 Form no later than their first date of hire. Departments/Colleges must complete Section 2 of the I-9 Form no later than their third date of hire. The employee must provide original acceptable I-9 documents to the department.

For departmental users to receive access to the Electronic I-9 System, they must complete the I-9 Training course and submit the Electronic I-9 Security access form.
