Electronic I-9 Forms

The Form I-9 is a federal form maintained and enforced by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). All employees (citizens and noncitizens) hired after November 6th, 1986, must complete the Form I-9.

Employees must complete Section 1 of the Form I-9 no later than their first date of hire. HRBC must complete Section 2 of the Form I-9 no later than their fourth day (hire date + 3 days).

UCF adopted the “alternative procedure” as authorized by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as UCF is an E-Verify employer. The HRBC may remotely examine the acceptable I-9 documents and conduct a live video interaction to complete Section 2 of the Form I-9. The employee may opt out of the alternative procedure, and then the employee will meet in person with the HRBC and provide original documents.

UCF utilizes the Workday electronic Form I-9. For instructions, please log into Workday and view the Form I-9 knowledge articles.
