While professional development is available to all faculty and staff, it can be hard to schedule whole departments for our scheduled training classes. Now, in addition to our OD consulting, we are happy to offer Maximum Impact: Mini Sessions to better suit your departmental needs. These are 20-30 minute pre-designed workshops where we come to enhance your current meeting.
The four topics we currently offer are:
Customer Service: Occasionally, you will encounter a customer who is angry, upset, or has a problem that needs solving. This workshop segment will focus on 10 specific steps to help you successfully assist that dissatisfied customer so that you can both are happy. Facilitated by Stephanie Jankowski, Senior Training Specialist
Leadership Development: Being a manager and a leader are two different things. You will learn 5 leadership areas to develop any person into a more effective leader. This interactive session allows you to not only learn about leadership and areas to grow in but encourages open dialogue about what leadership looks like. Facilitated by Michael Moniz, Training Coordinator
Motivating Employees: "People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing -- that's why we recommend it daily." In this mini session, we'll offer you tips on how to motivate people - whether it be your employee, co-worker, or yourself.
Facilitated by Melissa Harrel, OD Consultant
Goal Setting: “The most important thing about goals is having one.” Do you ever feel like you are really busy, but still not accomplishing much? You may work hard and keep busy, but if you do not set goals and priorities you are likely to find yourself working hard without meaningful results. This short workshop is designed to help you set measurable goals in an easy three step process.
Facilitated by Margie Chusmir, OD Consultant
Scheduling of these sessions must be done at least two weeks in advance. Please contact the OD & Training office at od&training@mail.ucf.edu, or 407.823.0440 for scheduling specifics.
