Q. What are some ways of providing a pay increase to an employee?
- An employee may apply for internal promotional opportunities.
- An employees position may be reclassified provided a higher-level
classification better fits the responsibilities of the position.

Q. How do I calculate a promotion increase?

the minimum of the new position. Multiply the employees
current salary by 1.05 (5% increase). The promotional increase
is the greater of the two.

- If a position has changed, update the position description,
secure approval from the department head, have a Rate
Allocation Form (RAF) prepared and submit both to the appropriate
vice president for preapproval. That office will in turn
submit the request to Human Resources.
Q. How do I establish a new position?
- Complete a position description form, secure approval from the
department head, have a Rate
Allocation Form (RAF) prepared and submit both to the appropriate
vice president for preapproval. That office will in turn
submit the request to Human Resources.

Q. How do I request a perquisite?
