September 2016 USPS Employee of the Month
Please help us congratulate the USPS Employee of the Month for September 2016 – Nicholas Schenk.

Nicholas Schenk is a Senior Admissions Specialist in the Political Science Department.  His nominators had this to say:

“Nick is an excellent advisor to our undergraduate students. He provides outstanding service to them before some of them officially enroll to their graduation day.  He is detail oriented, understands complex issues related to advising across majors and minors.  He takes the time to listen to students’ needs and links them to other units on campus.

Perhaps most noteworthy is not the fact that Nick performs a large number of diverse tasks and exceeds; but the fact he is self-directed and motivated and rarely needs supervision.  I cannot think of a better employee for the award.”

June 2016 USPS Employee of the Month

Please help us congratulate our newest USPS Employee of the Month (EOM) for June 2016 – Susan Terrill

For nine years, Susan has been an Office Assistant in the John C. Hitt Library. Her nominators had this to say about her:

“Sue is in many ways the face of Library Administration.  She is the first person visitors see and the voice callers hear.  She is total engaged in the care and maintenance of our 45 year old 220,000 square foot building hosting 1.3 million ‘house-guests’ per year.  In my opinion, she has the most difficult job in the building and she handles it with such skill and friendliness.

Sue is dependable, hardworking, patient, attentive, detailed, creative, and the go-to person. Sue’s happy attitude, good judgment and follow through distinguish her work from the many.  She is one of our UCF employees who make the wheels of our university not only turn, but turn smoothly.”

USPS Employee of the Month, June 2016

At this time, we would like to present Susan with a certification, one-time $200 cash award, $25 from UCF Business Services and UCF Bookstore, and this goody bag.  Susan will also receive a marquee announcement, an introduction to the UCF Board of Trustees, and is eligible for the USPS Employee of the Year $2,500 award, announced at the Annual Awards Program.

We’d would like to recognize her nominators, Raynette Kibbee and Frank Allen who took the time to acknowledge her excellent efforts among their colleagues.
